Biggest Play of the Week - The Hunt - JT a Standing Witness!

Bronson had a big play this week,  I am still trying to figure out how to send the footage to you.  LP was playing Woods Cross.  In the 4th quarter Bronson finally gets to go in and hold for a field goal attempt, the ball is kicked and blocked, when one of the Woods Cross players gets it and takes off running.  Bronson comes from behind and stops him on the two yard line.  It was so exciting.  Biggest play of the game.  He ran 70 yard to get him.  So proud of him for giving it all hes got.

Britton had a big game, but they lost.  We have lost the last couple of game, well all of them that we have played on the home field.  The boys are really struggling to finish the season strong.

Pictures Brody sent from Hawaii,  It is flooding in Hawaii.
The boys live in the Hale Hall.
Kofi is helping dad cook the hamburgers.
He is really hoping to get one.
Ryne came over the night before Brady left to go back to Hawaii.

Miriah was so excited when she came home from school on Wednesday, she had won the Hawk Walk coloring contest and got a metal.  I hope she gets the picture back.
This week was Fall Break, no school on Thursday, Friday and Monday.  Britton got asked to go to Lake Powell with the Asays.  He had such a great time.  They slept outside under the stars.
Here are a few of the pictures Marrianne sent.
Britton was so excited he jumped off a 40 foot cliff.
On Friday night they headed to Goblin Valley.  Britton had such a great time.

BYUH Soccer team won on Saturday 4-0, Brody got two assists early in the game.

Today we went to hear JT report on his mission.  He did a great job.  He started his talk off by doing some sign language, and then speaking in another language.  The he said that he has come to realize that no one knows him by his first name.  They know him as Elder, JT or Lund, but not by his first name.  When he was on his mission he met a lot of people who did not know the name of Jesus Christ or who he was either.  He learned he needed to be a Standing Witness of Jesus Christ.  Then he defined Witness, some one who has knowledge and testifies. Then Standing means, to be firm and steadfast.  These are action word.  He told of how he learned to be a standing Witness and Take Christ name upon him for two years.  I really like the two words too.  Standing Witness.  The speaker following Justin also did a great job, he talked about metamorphosis which means a profound change. Like a caterpillar changing into a butterfly, or Alma the younger to the missionary Alma.  It was a great example, he quoted a lot from Pres. Uchtdorf. on conversion. He also quoted from President Gibson last conference talk.   It was a great meeting.  Think about the metamorphosis times in your life, and how you are changing for good.

I have been downloading all the film from the video camera.  We have listened to your (Braxton's) talk when you left.  You really did to a wonderful job.  I am so grateful for your testimony and your desire to serve our Heavenly Father.  Last week at the missionary fireside, Pres Smart who is new to the Stake Presidency and who also set dad apart, talked about how important desire was in missionary work.  And also, being resilience, learning to bounce back when times are hard.  To recovery from disappointment.  Coach Bailey's daughter who also just got home from her mission a while ago spoke about being resilient and equally yoked in companionship.  I really like those words equally yoked,  It made me think of you and the companionship you have right now.  Having the same desire to work hard and to be resilient will help you accomplish a great work.
