The Forever Strong Berry Patch: Dec 14, 2015 Talk - Piano Recital

Britton talked in Church yesterday, he did a good job. He talked about Joseph Smith and his example, of faith, courage and integrity. He was funny, he started his talk by saying, he thought it was fun his dad was in the bishopric, but now he doesn't think it is funny. He has a cold so you really could not understand some of his words since his voice would crack. But did a good job for his first time. The young women also sang and did a beautiful job. We had Miriah's piano recital last night too. She did such a great job. She had it memorized and then right at the end she forgot a part and has been so sad she messed up. But she did wonderful and we were so proud of her. Most of the kids messed up a little and they had their books. She just wanted it to be perfect, she had worked so hard on it. More Sad news, Bryce Swanson Died on Friday, at their cabin. His funeral will be this Wednesday. He sure was a great man. He gave so much of his time to others and to the scouting world. I will be forever grateful for him taking me back to Wood Badge and letting me be a part of of his course. Teaching me to take care of the details and over planning and then planning some more, and then it happens like its suppose to. I have used so many of the skills I learned being on staff with so many of my other calls, just one of the things that has made a huge difference in all I have done is the practicing of what you want to have happen. The run through, the dress rehearsal. Not just talking about or planning what we wanted to happen, but practicing it, time it, and making sure the details were taken care of. It seems like when you practice things come to mind that were needed and if we had not practiced, we would not of been prepared they way we were.

Practice does not make perfect, practice makes permanent, giving you so much more, thoughts ideas, abilities, allows for change. The details come together in the practice of what you want to have happen.
