This week was another fast week, so much going on it went faster than I had planned. Still got so much to do to be ready for Wednesday, I hope I make it. We had Howard Ault Funeral on Friday night and Saturday. It was really great and fun to see so many people that we love and have not seen in a long time. Howard and Lurae have done a lot of good in their lives and served a lot of people. We will miss the stories Howard always had time to tell, the hugs, and his smile. At the funeral they talked about how he adsorbed people, people were just drawn to him and even if he didn't speak their language, he could talk to them for hours. He was a good Samaritan. Lots of little miracles happened with their Mexico family to get him out of the Mexico in 12 hours. It was fun being with the Ault's and all their families. We love them.
Grandpa and Howard have been friends since they were 3, and never had a disagreement.
Brody has come home for Brady's Wedding, didn't know if he was coming so we got to go buy him clothes now since all he has is his basketball sweats. We are very thankful he is here even though it cost a lot and he probably won't get to play the rest of the season.
I didn't do a very good job taking notes this week on the words that touch me. Yesterday Sacrament meeting was on the Holy Ghost. What a gift it is to have the Holy Ghost with us at all times to help us and guide as we go through out each day. One of the things that Steven talked about at the funeral was how much Howard loved a freshly plowed field. He loved the smell and how it look when no one had walked in the newly turned over dirt. He remembered his grandma telling him about a time when he was very little and they had driven up to the side of the field Howard was plowing. Howard got down off the tracker and walked over to their car, it wasn't long after when they noticed Steve trying to walk in Howard's footsteps over to the care. His grandma always told him the story by telling him to Be Careful where you walk. You never know who is watching and who is trying to fill you footsteps. Then he liked the freshly plowed field to taking the sacrament each week. He loved the beauty of the earth and all Heavenly Father has given us.
"Whatsoever ye sow, that shall ye also reap" D&C 6:33
We have the right to choose; likewise, we have the responsibility to choose. We cannot be neutral. There is no middle ground. The Lord knows this; Lucifer knows, this. So the Lord has prepared His road signs for our guidance. They read: Fear God, and keep his commandments. Ecclesiastes 12:13
