Last three days in Hawaii... Brody's farewell to Hawaii,

When we moved into Honolulu, we went to Pearl Harbor.

After we were done at Pearl Harbor we drove back to the North Shore and went to the beach again with Brody for a little while.

Dad could stand for hours just watching the waves.

Can you see my little friend, he watched me for a long time, then he went back under ground and Brody dug him up and played for a while.

On Friday we Hiked to the top of  Diamond Head.  It is a State Park and quite a Hike.  This is looking down on the crater from the top.

Here are some of the stair you have to climb to get there.

We didn't take these stairs, we took the long way around.  There was a girl running these stairs while we were there.  She ran most of the way and did the stairs several times.

Lulumahu Falls

The Bamboo Forest we hiked through to get to the Lulumahu Falls
Where the hike starts.  Its kind of hard to find your way on this trail, lots of paths that you could take.
We got out of the hike just in time to get to Brody's last game.  They lost but still had a banquet at a pizza place after in town.  We didn't have pizza, the food was really good.

Took lots of pictures of the scenery.  It was so Beautiful.

Took lots of pictures of the waves.

Thanks to all of those who helped us come and also helped with the kids back home.  We have a great time.  We decided we would say this was our anniversary trip, since it had been 25 years in October.

The sand was different on Sunset Beach, when the waves would come in, the sand would bury your feet, instead of washing the sand away.  It was also a much heavier sand and hard to walk in.  As Todd and I walked up the beach I found myself trying to step right in his foot prints.  I was trying to talk to Brody about it and see if we could not come up with an analogy, since the sand on all the beaches we went to were so different.  Here I didn't have to move and my feet got deeper and deeper into the sand, I could sand firm.  On the Hukilua Beach if you are not repositioning your feet all the time as the waves come in and out you would fall, since it takes the sand you are standing on right out from under your feet..

Brady and Crystal on a Date
Brody's last post as he leaves Hawaii.  He has had a great year playing two sports he loves.
Hollie had New Beginnings, it was really good.  Oh the places you will stand.  took me back to the sandy beaches in Hawaii and the many different thought I had had about our feet and where we stand and how we stand.
Went to the Provo City Temple Open house again,  The church has done amazing work to restore the tabernacle into a temple.  The temple dedication will be this next Sunday.  Your dad's mission pres and wife, the Ostergar's will be the Temple Presidents.  They will speak in the first session.
