Letter from Dad this week-

Since I don’t have the time to write and you don’t have the time to read all the evidence I will share a few of the highlights.

Lehi and his family landed either on the East side of Florida or on the Gulf Coast side.  The Land of Nephi  is the land from southern Tennessee south to the coast.  The Mississippi river is the river Sidon.  The Sea West, the Sea North and the Sea East is the Great Lakes.  When they talk about the narrow neck of land it is the land between the lakes.  The scriptures say that the land was divided by the sea not the sea was divided by the land which is the case in Central America.  We do know for sure where one location of the Book of Mormon and that is the Hill Cumorah.  And where is it?  Right under Lake Ontario.  The one thing I always struggled with is how Moroni carried those plates from Central America clear up to New York and the truth is he didn’t because he was already in the land Northward.

Here is a good one for you.  Read D&C 84:1-4.  Here the Lord in a revelation tells Joseph exactly where the New Jerusalem will be located.  It is not often that the Lord names a city.  Now read D&C 125:3.

“Let them build up a city unto my name upon the land opposite the city of Nauvoo, and let the name of Zarahemla be named upon it.
Here the Lord is telling Joseph to build a city opposite the city of Nauvoo which is across the Mississippi (or the river Sidon) and call it Zarahemla?  Why would he want to name that city Zarahemla if it wasn’t the location of the original Zarahemla?  If it is the place of the original Zarahemla that means there must have been a temple mount there because we know there was a temple because that is where the Savior appeared to the Nephites.  Well it so happens that they have done some archaeology work over there and they found a hill with a flat top about the size of the temple lot of the ancient temple in Jerusalem.  It also happens to be at the exact elevation of the Nauvoo temple directly across the river.  The Zarahemla temple would have faced East and it so happens that the Nauvoo temple faces west.  So they both would be facing each other as a representation of East meeting West.

Anyway I’m probably boring you.  I can’t get anyone around here excited about it but like I said it just makes sense to me.  Remember the Lord led Lehi and Nephi to the Promised Land or the (land

that was promised) to the Lords chosen people and a land of Liberty.  I just don’t see any country including southern Mexico or Central America as being a promised land.  Which brings me to my last thought.  If the United States is the Promised Land spoken of in the Book of Mormon we know that Lehi and Nephi were led out of Jerusalem by the Lord.  We know Columbus was led by the Lord to discover America and we know that the founding fathers were inspired by the Lord to write the constitution.  We also know that the New Jerusalem will be built here where he will dwell and reign upon the earth.  If this is the case then this is his Country.  With all the crap going on with the elections and the degrading of society’s values the Lord is still in charge and he will not let this country fall.  Yes the constitution may hang by a thread but in the end he will be there to protect his country, (his promised land) set aside for those that choose to be his disciples.   Take Care.  We Love the man that you have become.
