Some people think that to be strong is to never feel pain. In reality, the strongest people are the ones who feel it, understand it, and accept it.

President Uchtdorf gave a talk back in 2009 called Two Principles for the Economy. he says, that he has seen enough ups and downs throughout his life. He knows winter will surely give way to the warmth and hope of a new spring. he is optimistic about the future. We much remain steadfast in hope, work with all our strength, and trust in God. He shares a story of when he was 11 and his family is living in the attic of a farmhouse near Frankfurt Germany. They were refugees for the second time in a period of only a few years, Now as he looks back on the hard and difficult time he can see that it was a time of great personal growth. His family bonded together through hard work. It wasn't easy, but the work kept them from dwelling too much on the difficulties of their circumstances. Although their circumstance didn't change overnight, it did change. " That's the thing about work. If we simply keep at it-steady and constant- things certainly will improve. How the lord Loves the laborer! He doesn't expect us to work harder than we are able. He doesn't compare our efforts to those of others. Our heavenly Father asks only that we do the best we can- that we work according to our full capacity, however great or small that may be. Work is an antidote for anxiety, an ointment for sorrow, and a doorway to possibility. What ever our circumstances in life, let us do the best we can and cultivate a reputation for excellence in all that we do. When your wagon gets stuck in the mud, God is much more likely to assist the man who gets out to push than the man who merely raises his voice in prayer. Pres Monson put it this way, "It is not enough to want to make the effort and to say we'll make the effort...It's in the doing, not just in the thinking that we accomplish our goals. Work can be ennobling and fulfilling."
